The Marionette Nativity

In the Middle Ages, French Catholic priests used puppets on strings to tell Bible stories. The most popular of these puppets was the Mary, the mother of Jesus. Soon any stringed puppet was  known as a "little Mary", or marionette. The Marionette Nativity revisits this Church tradition with text pulled directly from the Gospels and classic Christmas carols
